Since 2013, we have doubled the number of our transports in Combined Transport.
LKW WALTER organises your full truck load transports both on the road and in Combined Transport - irrespective of the location of your company. We load and unload throughout Europe as well as from all European countries to Russia, Central Asia, North Africa, the Middle East and vice versa.
Our emphasis is on the transport of non-hazardous, packed goods - mainly from the consumer goods, wood and paper, chemical, metal, automotive and electronics industries.
Our vehicles are equipped with the latest telematics and are automatically monitored. The systems continuously calculate the expected time of arrival (ETA) in real time, taking into account traffic conditions, as well as the driver's remaining driving time. We therefore know where your freight is at any time, as well as when the truck arrives at the specified loading and unloading points.
On our CONNECT customer platform, you can easily and quickly handle your transport orders. You submit your booking online, receive information about the truck and can directly access freight documents.
For us, optimising transport processes means adapting to your IT. Through our standardised Application Programming Interface we offer you the possibility to automate your processes and to contribute to an efficient and fast data exchange.

LKW WALTER has a Europe-wide transport partner network, consisting of more than 12,000 selected transport partners, who are carefully selected according to our high quality standards. As well as road transport, we also rely on combined transport, in which we are one of the biggest participants with more than 15,000 cranable trailers.

Each new transport partner undergoes a demanding selection process with strict criteria. The fulfilment of these criteria is regularly monitored during the course of the collaboration. In addition, we offer our partners regular opportunities for further training.
13.6 m curtain siders (trailer and tautliner) are used as standard. If necessary, and only on certain routes, we can provide other types of trailers (mega trailers, jumbo, semi-trailers, small trucks etc.). In combined transport we also use cranable trailers. Cranable mega trailers (internal height: 3 m) and special trailers with coil troughs are also available.

With combined transport, different modes of transport such as trucks, trains and ships are optimally combined to handle transport as environmentally-friendly and cost-efficiently as possible.

Form-fit is a type of load securing.
With "form-fit" load securing, the goods are loaded perpendicular to the boundary of the loading hold (front wall, side panel, stakes, etc.) without gaps between the loads.
Form-fit loading, in combination with XL trailers, is considered a particularly efficient method of securing loads.
In contrast with standard trailers, XL trailers have several characteristics that further support load securing - e.g. reinforced front wall, 4 door locks, reinforced curtain, at least 32 side slats, stronger structure and reinforced side panels.
Our own trailer fleet consists exclusively of XL trailers.
